Choosing a food processor is not a simple matter: differences in available functions and the scope of additional equipment can make you dizzy. That’s why we come to the rescue: with our guide through the recommended and best food processors you will quickly find your dream helper.
Recently, we presented a guide on how to choose a food processor well. There, we tossed numerous tips on the specifications and functionality of the devices available on the Polish market, emphasizing what to look for before buying.
Today, however, we present the promised TOP-9 food processors – these are devices that we think are worth special attention. For ease of use, we have divided them into 6 price thresholds: this way everyone can easily find the best food processor in the budget. We start with the cheapest, but still noteworthy devices.
Zelmer ZHM0861S (381.61)
Inexpensive, classic mixer model with many functions, which thanks to the bowl stand will allow you to mix the ingredients without holding the robot.
The set includes mixers and beaters for combining / grinding ingredients, as well as a paddle and a self-wiping paddle for scooping the contents of the bowl. The mixer also includes a cocktail mixing cup and a plastic container for measuring ingredients or mixing them. The plastic mixing attachment is used to prepare sauces, soups or creams.
The mixer handle is covered with a special non-slip coating that ensures a secure grip even with a wet hand. In addition to the Turbo function, the device is equipped with 5-speed control.
Number two on our list is not a typical food processor. In fact, it is “only” a hand blender, but we made an exception for it, because in many respects it can compete with classic robots, while being an extremely light and handy device. Although it is a lower model, it provides up to 12 speed settings and, additionally, the Turbo function.
The lightweight handle has an ergonomic shape for a comfortable, soft grip; thanks to the universal shredder with a removable stainless steel blade, we can effectively crush, among others meat, cheese or vegetables; The mixing tip with the QuattroBlade knife with 4 blades guarantees fast and efficient work, and the whipping tip is useful when preparing desserts.
Thanks to the 750 W power, the blender handles most of the tasks we will set before it – from blending herbs to crushing ice.
Clatronic KM 3630
One of the cheaper planetary robots, whose advantage is, among others, a solid housing made of high quality plastic and stainless steel; planetary mixing system, useful when preparing cakes; tilting head makes it easy to remove the bowl and add ingredients or high power (1200 W) and 8 possibilities of setting the rotation speed.
The stand with a 6.3-liter stainless steel bowl will hold up to 3.5 kg of dough, and three tips are included in the set: for whipping, mixing and a kneading hook.
Bosch MUM 4427
At first glance, this model does not impress with its parameters – above all, the multifunctional MUM 4 kitchen robots are equipped with 500 W motors, which does not seem a particularly efficient achievement. In practice, however, Bosch collects better opinions than similar products from a similar shelf, which can show off more power.
We use 4-stage speed control for control. MUM 4427 works in a wide spectrum of applications, from sweet cakes and eclairs to healthy smoothies and ice cream to tasty dishes of minced meat.
Dynamic planetary gearbox ensures mixing quality; the convenience of our work is provided by many tips (e.g. for kneading or whipping), the 5-function vegetable and fruit crusher allows for quick grinding on both thick slices and fine chips; stainless steel bowl helps to maintain occupational hygiene.
The Zelmer ZFP1100C food processor is extremely versatile equipment. The planetary mixing system guarantees a solid production of both light dough and heavy bread dough. 1000 W power and 12 speed settings is enough for everyday tasks. The set includes a stainless steel bowl, universal stirrer, dough compactor and hook mixer.
Although some users complain a bit about the volume of the device, the vast majority emphasize functionality and quality of workmanship.
Bosch MUM 54251
The model that boasts a unique planetary gearing of the mixing system, ensuring constant, energetic movement of the stirrers in three directions (3D) and the EasyArmLift function, allowing for rapid raising and lowering of the multifunction arm, which makes changing tools for kneading easy.
900 W motor is responsible for the power of the device, whose performance can be controlled by means of electronic, 7-step speed regulation and pulse mode. MUM 54251 allows you to shred, grind, grind, mix and mix, and even prepare demanding dishes.
The bowl is made of stainless steel, has a capacity of 3.9 l and holds a maximum of 2.0 kg of light dough or 1.5 kg of yeast dough. The success of this model is also determined by the richness of the accessories in the set: dough hook, whipping attachment, mixing attachment, stainless steel bowl with lid, vegetable and fruit grinder with 3 interchangeable discs, attachment for cutting vegetables, fruit and sausages in equal cubes, citrus squeezer and grinder.
A higher model than the already mentioned 54251, which can boast more power (instead of 900 it has 1000 W) and the possibility of expansion with accessories available in the thematic packages (VeggieLove, TastyMoments, PastaPassion, ice cream attachment). All accessories available for the 5 series can be checked on the Bosch website.
Compared to the lower model, it is also distinguished by a more elegant look, thanks to which it can be a decoration of the kitchen countertop in any style.
It will be appreciated by people who often prepare cakes – in the set we get 3 mixers, enabling the production of any type of mass (unique “K” stirrer; professional stainless steel whisk and special hook for pasta cakes or bread). 1200 W power, which can be smoothly regulated electronically, will cope with any kitchen challenge.
Robot owners can expand it almost freely – so far over 20 optional attachments are on offer. The set includes, among others, a meat grinder equipped with three sieves with 3mm, 4.5mm and 8mm hole diameters and durable steel blades or a THERMO RESIST glass blender, resistant to high and low temperatures, the capacity of which is 1.6l , also having 4-zone stainless steel blades.
Bosch OptiMUM MUM9B34S27
This is already a premium class product, which is indicated not only by the solid and impressive OptiMUM housing, but also by the parameters: 1400 W motor; planetary 3D stirring motion; intelligent dough sensor (tests resistance to mixers during kneading and maintains a constant mixing speed).
Plus, the rich set that we receive when buying this model speaks for itself:
set of three professional tips: for mixing, whipping and kneading
goblet mixer made of glass resistant to high and low temperatures
stainless steel bowl.
Of course, an even wider set of additional accessories (much richer than in the case of MUM 5) can be purchased separately.

Food Processors FAQ
I make sliced potatoes with mine and it doesn’t do very well at all. Very inconsistent and little tiny pieces throughout the sliced potatoes. My daughter bought me mine for mothers day, 2017. I also wish it had a slicer that was a little thicker. It does make coleslaw very well.
It doesn’t come with a dough hook only a chopper blade and a slice/grate blade wheel. The instruction book did state that it would do cookie dough but does not mention bread dough.
It can shred anything. Hell, it even shredded my hand when i tried to reach in and get something out.
Hey Sara. So far I’ve used the slicer attachment (it’s included) to cut thin potatoes (my scalloped potatoes came out great). I also used the grater (same attachment as the slicer, just the other side) and shredded carrots as well as cheese. I have chopped nuts with no problem either. For the price, you’re getting a great deal. I’ve used more expensive food processors and this one is doing the job. I have more expensive kitchen appliances and this one has been my “go to.” I hope that helps.
The answer is “Yes, and No” . . .
For Pasta Dough, it’s great for pulse-mixing your dry ingredients, eggs and oil – – after which you can easily finish kneading by hand. See the following video for this simple technique (it’s a game changer).
I have not personally used this to grind cooked ham, however, I have used it to chop up uncooked sweet potatoes, which are much harder than cooked ham. I would say it can handle it.
In small amounts it does fine. I didn’t want to risk trying anything more.
I haven’t triedit. Maybe so if done in very small batches and use the bowl scraper the whole time.
Safety and care
The possibility of blocking during improper installation of nozzles protects the user from injuries, and the combine harvester from damage. If something is wrong, then the device simply will not turn on. We have already talked about automatic overload protection. True, this feature is not available in budget models. It is equipped with powerful devices of the middle and high price range.
Make sure that the combine has rubber feet. This will ensure its stability during operation. It’s easy to take care of the food processor. All working parts must be washed before and after use. Some models are dishwasher safe. If you approach the purchase of a food processor responsibly, examine all the advantages, disadvantages and opportunities, then such a kitchen assistant will last a long time and certainly will not gather dust in the closet. By the way, the device can be a great New Year gift. Many stores on the eve of the holidays make good discounts.
